The Dam Square in Amsterdam locates a characteristic six-storey building that houses the famous museum Madame Tussauds. At Madame Tussauds you can get acquainted with real-life, detailed wax figures that portray celebrities such as actors, sports stars and World leaders.
The museum is equipped with lifts between the many floors, so wheelchair users and pedestrians have access to all six floors. On the 6th floor, wax figures of the royal and largest world leaders are showed, and in this department, a new an interactive television studio was opened in 2018.
There was a difference in the level of the floor itself and the level of the television studio, which made the new exhibition area unable to access for wheelchair users and pedestrians.
The solution for the museum’s level difference was Liftup’s EasyLift – an elegant elevator that can be adapted to any building. With EasyLift, the new exhibition now has access for all. The EasyLift was installed by our distributor Stannah NL.
EasyLift is an easy to use lifting platform giving access between two levels to wheelchair users and those with impaired mobility and walking restrictions. EasyLift incorporates clean lines and smooth surfaces into its elegant design, yet it is robustly constructed. These qualities make it an outstanding choice of lift and a simple, stylish and functional way to improve accessibility.
