Raizer Case: Sofie Djurhuus, Denmark

Raizer provides more freedom to 13-year-old Sofie’s life!

13-year-old Sofie Djurhuus from Taastrup, Denmark, is diagnosed with muscular disease and sometimes she falls. When she falls she cannot get back up by herself. She gets great pleasure from her own Raizer which she was assigned.

Sofie says about the Raizer: "It's great that I can be allowed to be home alone. Neither my parents nor I should care about that I lie on the floor and cannot get up by myself. I have become more independent now and have more freedom. I do not ask others for help or call my mom and dad if I fall."

Raizer is liberating for Sophie as she now has the opportunity to be home alone. She has therefore become more independent and confident and thus she has been given more freedom with the help of her Raizer.

Raizer is a simple battery operated mobile lifting chair that helps a fallen person up to an almost standing position within a few minutes. Raizer can with ease be assembled and operated by only one assistant and does not require any physical effort besides a supportive hand.
