FlexStep

Espresso House, Copenhagen

Espresso House is to be found on the “Strøget” in Copenhagen, just opposite the iconic Round Tower. In the narrow entrance, from which you can go down a floor to enjoy a coffee or half a floor up to order one, a FlexStep links up the attractive staircase.

SCROLL

FlexStep

On the steps there are planks from the original floor, the handrails are the same from cellar to “attic”, and a little piece of FlexStep guardrail has even been mounted above the stairs to complete the installation. This is a unique way of integrating the lifting platform so as not to spoil the pleasant surroundings.

Stylishly integrated

Although the entrance and the stairs are narrow, the FlexStep contributes to the light, easy look of the cafe interior.

Everyone has access

Espresso House is a chain of coffee bars with over 400 outlets spread across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Germany employing more than 5,000 enthusiastic baristas, who are set on giving the best coffee experience in the world to the world’s best customers. If a FlexStep wasn’t providing access to great coffee by lifting people into the cafe, then we don’t know “who” would. 😉

FlexStep

The FlexStep stairlift is designed to function both as an ordinary staircase and as a wheelchair lift. Developed and manufactured by Liftup, the FlexStep is flexible and equally useful for pedestrians and wheelchair users alike. FlexStep is an innovative 2-in-1 solution and saves space compared to installing both a flight of stairs and a separate lift.
